Inspiring nobility |
The nobility of the Vidago Palace Hotel is immediately apparent, permeating every space. It is evident in its distinctively romantic wooden staircases and its high-ceilinged rooms, its art works in gesso and its huge shutters that open onto views of the park and the century-old trees in the garden. But what mustn’t be missed is the splendour of the 70 rooms and suites spread across four floors, which possess an intimate décor inspired by the colours of the region and its natural heritage. |

Sophisticated romantic décor |
Top Porto interior architecture team Diogo Rosa Lã and José Pedro Lopes Vieira have masterminded the décor. Each suite is decorated in a customised four-colour scheme that encompasses wooden floor, fabrics, wallpaper and designer furniture. From the windows you can appreciate one of the best examples of 20th century romantic architecture in Portugal: Vidago Park. The long, spacious corridors that lead to the rooms and suites of the Vidago Palace Hotel have wooden floors covered in thick, handmade, woollen rugs. The hotel has 70 rooms and suites in different categories, spread over five floors. Some rooms give onto the front of the hotel and others onto the hill and spa to the rear of the building. Others enjoy views to both aspects. The rooms of the Vidago Palace Hotel are decorated in a range of subtle tones (almond green, cappuccino, light blue …). Most of them have a neo-classical décor: king size bed (160, 180 or 200 cm), quilted bedhead, lacquered or leather and wrought iron bedside tables, varnished rosewood writing desk, lacquered black or chestnut, armchairs and/or chaise longue, pedestal table, thick, light-coloured carpet and wooden floors, and curtains with floral motifs of French and English inspiration. |

Comfort and attention to detail |
The bed linen, in cotton fabric, reproduces the motif of the bathroom tiles. Tall bookcases in white lacquered wood frame the window or writing desk and display books, ornaments and an LCD TV screen. Cosy comfort, somewhat in the British style, lends the space an intimate tone. Rooms have an LCD television with access to international channels, two telephones, minibar, safe and air conditioning. All the rooms and suites of the Vidago Palace Hotel, with the exception of Classic rooms, can be equipped with twin beds on request. All categories of room at the Vidago Palace Hotel have very pleasant bathrooms: spacious, luminous and luxurious, with porcelain sanitary ware and retro style taps, bevelled mirrors and fitted lighting fixtures. Most have a large window that allows natural light to enter in abundance. To create an even more exclusive and refined ambience, comfortable white bathrobes are provided, alongside a line of branded cosmetic products and unique porcelain accessories. |
