A Wine Cellar full of charmSituated on the ground floor, in the right-hand wing of the hotel, the traditional Vidago Palace Hotel Wine Cellar is a warm, convivial space. It is entered via an outside entrance or by lift from inside the hotel. A spacious venue, it extends over approximately 150 m2, divided into several distinct areas decorated in greys and blues. The Vidago Palace Hotel Wine Cellar was designed as a bistro and a wine shop. In addition to the wine cellar itself, it includes two other important areas. The first, designed as a bistro, is dedicated to wine tastings. Several pedestal tables with schist tops and cast iron feet are arranged across a floor of burgundy and beige mosaic slabs with tile motifs. Wicker chairs and stools imbue this part of the cellar with the relaxed, elegant atmosphere of a café. On a long counter lit by hurricane lamps, an imposing, ornate metal cash register strikes a decidedly vintage note. Elegant shelves are omnipresent, bearing an attractive display of wooden wine boxes, wine bottles and wine paraphernalia. The second area has a long table for banquets. |
