The Club House

The Vidago Palace Hotel Club House Bar and Restaurant occupies a unique space. Designed to be simultaneously spacious and welcoming, it offers a calm, serene ambience. During the winter months the crackle of the fireplace invites you to unwind, while in summer many people take advantage of the outdoor section to relax and enjoy the natural beauty of the park. At any time of year, a drink in the Club House or an informal meal among friends is the ideal way to end your round of golf!

The old stone building, which dates from 1886 and was formerly used for bottling Vidago water, is now the Vidago Palace Hotel Club House. From the drawing board of the architect Álvaro Siza Vieira, it boasts a futuristic internal décor: spacious and white, with some 440 m2 of straight lines. Illuminated by a central, rectangular skylight, the Vidago Palace Hotel Club House has a restaurant, a bar, a shop and cloakrooms.

The restaurant area has glass wall, through which diners can view the bustling kitchen. Contemporary wooden furniture – chairs, tables, sideboards and tall, narrow counters - is arranged across the whole surface to form various groups of tables. The roof structure, painted white, punctuates the space with columns. There are 3 metres of headroom beneath the ceiling and 4.6 metres beneath the skylight.

With two fantastic stone terraces, a living area and wireless internet, the Vidago Palace Hotel Club House Bar and Restaurant is a welcoming place for players and non-players alike. Situated outside the main building of the Vidago Palace Hotel, the Club House Bar and Restaurant is an informal place to have something to eat or drink or simply to take a break between rounds of golf.
