DECORATION
The theme of the decoration of Vidago Palace is to keep in touch with the Belle Epoque origins of the building – the noble architecture of the exterior structure is continued inside and as soon as the visitor enters the main doors – from the reception area with its sweeping staircase to the upper floors, a variety of salons open off each side with high ceilings, stucco artwork and vistas out onto the park through large floor to ceiling windows – a majestic Portuguese country house with all the services of a 5 star luxury hotel.
The rooms have been decorated by Bastidor with 4 dominant colour themes inspired by the nature of the region – parquet floors, “fauna themed” fabrics, wallpaper and custom made furniture give each room a cost and intimate feeling. The result is a Palace in a Forest.
